The London Evening Standard is today reporting that Kate Middleton is to get round-the-clock police protection. The operation has been weeks in the preparation and is ready to go at short notice.

Kate Middleton at Raffles

On Wednesday night, Kate Middleton and sister Pippa repaired to Chelsea’s upmarket nightclub Raffles for an evening with a gang of City traders.
Kate is reported as saying, “I’m having a great time, I am drinking shots and I’m dancing with my sister and having fun.” She was said to have knocked back shots of white rum and liqueurs made with rhubarb and apple, chased down with beer. She apparently ended up on her knees during a wild dance with Wiltshire-based fund manager Alex Boyd. …
Prince William to propose
Royalty The People had a short piece yesterday claiming Prince William had telephoned the Queen from Birkhall, on the edge of the Balmoral estate, telling her that his week’s holiday with Kate Middleton had convinced him that Kate is “the one”.
Apparently, he intends to “propose” soon — although really the couple must have discussed this at some length by now. After they had reportedly staged a mock wedding in the Seychelles, it’s hard to know what there is to propose about. …
