On Wednesday night, Kate Middleton and sister Pippa repaired to Chelsea’s upmarket nightclub Raffles for an evening with a gang of City traders.
Kate is reported as saying, “I’m having a great time, I am drinking shots and I’m dancing with my sister and having fun.” She was said to have knocked back shots of white rum and liqueurs made with rhubarb and apple, chased down with beer. She apparently ended up on her knees during a wild dance with Wiltshire-based fund manager Alex Boyd. …

Women are all over the place these days. You can’t get away from them — not that you’d want to, of course. They are undoubtedly the collective celebrity of the 21st century. Why so?
While I was mulling over the fact that our new, very expensive shopping mall is devoted entirely to disposable women’s clothes, I came across a piece by Daily Mail journalist Peter McKay in yesterday’s paper. We arrived back from Italy earlier this week (more of that later) and found Stratford gearing-up for a new annual event: The Stratford - upon-Avon Festival of Food & Drink, which has, over the last three days, proven to be a wonderful affair, with our fridge now stuffed with all sorts of Italian, French, and English goodies.
We also came across Roger Clay, who is the Secretary of the Stratford & Warwick Waterways Trust — SWWT for short — who is a thoroughly charming man with a fight on his hands …
