Mind games beat Alzheimer’s

A recent study at Tel Aviv University in Israel, tested 60 volunteers using a brain exercising computer program, MindFit, for 30 minutes, three times a week, and compared them with another 60 playing sophisticated computer games.

The results showed that although all benefited from playing on the computer, those on MindFit had better improvement in short-term learning, visual and spatial learning and focused attention. These findings are especially relevant to those of a certain age and show that exercise can stave off …

Most of the spoon rests I’ve seen on the market are built for just one spoon. This one is built for two. Looking at the picture, I’m doubtful of the quality of the wire rack. Perhaps it’s the $10 pricetag that has me wondering how cheaply this item is made. It looks like it can bend out of shape very easily.

Just over a year after recording his first album ‘Celebration’, in July 1967, Mike Westbrook took his Concert Band back into the Decca studios to record their second album ‘Release’. The People had a short piece yesterday claiming Prince William had telephoned the Queen from Birkhall, on the edge of the Balmoral estate, telling her that his week’s holiday with Kate Middleton had convinced him that Kate is “the one”.
